Wind Surfing

The adventures continue as Jeremy and I learned how to wind surf last Sunday. What a blast! It isn't as hard as it looks. Really! Here are some pictures to show off our new skills thanks to Dan (our Stanford wind surfing club instructor).

Jeremy getting the board out deep enough

Step 2 (because Step 1 is just being able to stand up on the board): you must pull up the sail

The paddle of shame... yes it's me. I got a little stuck, but I kept going and got the hang of it!

Off Jeremy goes! He was a pro!

Getting the hang of it! I made it half way across the lake before turning around to come back.

So we were a little sore the next day, but what an adventure! This was at Shoreline Lake. It is a small lake right off of the bay but warmer (and unfortunately salt water). All the materials were provided by Stanford wind surfing club so it was a great and fun (not to mention free) experience.

Welcome to part 2 of our adventures!

Welcome to our blog part 2! Last time Jeremy went to post he realized that we are out of space! Thus, welcome to the adventures of Jeremy and Bridget part 2 :) Our previous blog has our other adventures and you can see them by trying this link.

One other change in the blogging of Jeremy and Bridget's adventures... Bridget will now be the one mostly in charge of blogging. Hopefully I (Bridget) will keep you all as entertained as Jeremy did. Here are a couple of pictures of our most recent adventures.

At Eagle Lake after a nice hike with our friends

A view across Emerald Bay

Very tricky rock "climbing" on our way up to summit Mt. Tallac

On our way down, we took a different pack instead of those rocks. Notice how the path withers off into nothing... yeah it was pretty hard to follow (not a good shortcut)

9,700 ft elevation at Mt. Tallac looking over Lake Tahoe!
